This footed porcelain bowl was fired in the ChickenCat wood-soda kiln. This piece is a wonderful example of the variety of colors and textures that result from atmospheric firing. The inside of the bowl was coated with wood ash and is extremely smooth to the touch. Drippy glass effects on the outer rim with subtle crackling. This may be my favorite piece from the firing.
Dipped in a high-clay shino glaze to insure food safety.
